Job Description: Approve, review, and provide technical guidance on engineering designs, calculations, and design development to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project scopes while managing scope variations and preparing supporting documentation Oversee drafting deliverables and provide strategic technical direction to the design team Develop and approve technical documentation including materials take-offs, scopes of work, and detailed equipment specifications Evaluate vendor tenders, coordinate multidisciplinary technical integration, and ensure engineering deliverables align with scope, cost, and schedule requirements Skills & Experience: Minimum 15+ years post-graduate experience in a senior mechanical engineering role within heavy industrial projects Registered as an ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist Strong technical aptitude with advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary coordination and mentor engineers-in-training Demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality engineering outputs within budgetary and scheduling constraints Qualification: Minimum B.eng or Bsc in Mechanical Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
