Introduction Summary The Transformation Manager drives the overall transformation strategy for the organisation. The role is accountable for identifying areas for improvement, enabling operational change, and delivering measurable business impact. A key focus of this position is monitoring and implementing Broad‑Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) initiatives across all the BBBEE pillars. The Transformation Manager is also responsible to monitor Employment Equity, in particular any challenges that the company may have in meeting the ICT Sectoral targets, develop the Employment Equity plan and monitor adherence to the plan. The Transformation Manager ensures compliance with legislative requirements while aligning transformation initiatives to the company’s broader business strategy. What you’ll do Legislative Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with relevant transformation‑related legislation, including BBBEE and Employment Equity frameworks Monitor legislative changes and updates related to BBBEE (ICT Codes) and Employment Equity ICT Sector targets Support the compilation of responses to draft transformation‑related legislation and present recommendations to senior management. Manage annual audit and verification processes for the company’s BBBEE certification. Manage annual Employment Equity submissions and any Department of Labour audit activities related to our Employment Equity plan Ethical Leadership and Compliance Ensure transformation efforts are aligned with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and the organisation’s values Support the development and drive the implementation of transformation action plans. Execute BBBEE transformation initiatives across all relevant elements. Coordinate transformation strategy execution and communication across the organisation. Improve the company’s BBBEE transformation scorecard. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders supporting the transformation agenda. Track BBBEE contributions and ensure the integrity of supporting data and documentation. Coordinate all BBBEE‑related processes across the business, including governance and compliance requirements, budget approvals, procurement, contracting and reporting. Preferential Procurement Support the development and implementation of the company’s Preferential Procurement strategy. Liaise with Procurement to identify services suitable for BBBEE supplier participation. Report on supplier status and future improvement initiatives. Provide guidance on supplier evaluation and BBBEE improvement. Support existing suppliers to improve and strengthen their BBBEE credentials. Employment Equity Track and monitor initiatives to improve Employment Equity, whilst navigating within complex corporate policies and procedures. Support development of Employment Equity reporting and monitoring tools Identify transformation risks (such as non adherence to Employment Equity 5-year plan) and develop mitigation plans to present to senior leadership Skills Development Track and monitor existing skills development initiatives and programs to ensure maximum BBBEE recognition, whilst ensuring the programs align to overall business priorities. Continuously drive improvements and make recommendations to senior leadership where programs are not optimal. Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting Participate in internal and external transformation forums to communicate progress, challenges, and action plans. Drive discussions with stakeholders on the implementation of the company’s transformation strategy. Support project management of transformation initiatives and programmes. What you bring Extensive experience in a transformation‑focused role. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in HR, Employment Relations, Employment Equity, and South African Labour Law. Strong expertise in BBBEE, including dti Codes of Good Practice, Sector Charters, reporting, policy review, and verification. Advanced technical understanding of the interpretation and application of BBBEE legislation and all associated elements. Experience in BBBEE systems analysis and transformation strategy formulation. Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and influencing skills. Exhibits high personal integrity and ethical resilience. Ability to drive innovative solutions and organisational change. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Relevant business degree; an Honours degree is preferred.
