Overview Centurion Occupational Health and Safety Officer. Employment: Permanent, Full time position. Office based, working hours Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00. Area: Centurion, Gauteng. Essential Legal Requirements: Must be a South African born citizen with a Clean Criminal background and ITC (financial history) - checks will be done on shortlisted applicant. Qualifications and work experience Matric SAMTRAC certified Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Incident investigation certificate (Any level). Must possess the ability to deal with difficult situations. Hands-on commitment to getting the job done. A good understanding of ISO standards (Specifically ISO 45001 and ISO 9001). Job Purpose To implement and ensure that all rules and regulations are followed according to the OHS Act No. 85 of 1993 and regulations. Keeping all necessary staff members informed of any changes regarding the OHS Act. To ensure that appropriate safety controls are implemented where necessary. To act against any staff members that do not abide by the rules and regulations of the Act. Responsible for organizing OHS training of employees and executives. Design and deliver health and safety strategies and initiatives within the scope of the business. Advising on the compliance of safety policies and documents.
