About Our Client The client operates within the Commercial and Industrial Solar PV industry. They focus on the delivery of solar PV projects, bridging the gap between sales, engineering, procurement, and installation teams. The Role: Project Manager The Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of solar PV projects from contract signature to final commissioning and handover. The role exists to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, safely, and to specification while managing the relationship between internal teams and the client. The main focus areas include project planning, budget control, procurement coordination, and site management. Key Responsibilities Lead projects with a minimum of 5 years experience managing commercial solar projects. Take full ownership of projects after sale handover to develop detailed project plans and timelines. Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and report project margins against forecasts. Coordinate procurement of panels, inverters, and structures while managing supplier lead times. Oversee system testing, commissioning, performance verification, and final client handover. Coordinate installation teams and subcontractors while monitoring daily progress against the programme. Enforce site HSE plans and ensure compliance with OHSA, SANS standards, and municipal regulations. Review and manage system designs including layouts, SLDs, and equipment selection. About You 5 years experience managing commercial solar projects. Strong understanding of grid tied, hybrid, and battery integrated systems. Experience managing sub-contractors and installation teams. Solid knowledge of regulations and proven ability to manage budgets and timelines. Valid drivers license. Strong organisational, planning, communication, and client-facing skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under pressure and tight deadlines. High attention to detail and quality with problem-solving and decision-making capability.
