We're building something special at Pura Beverage Company — and we need the right financial mind to help us do it. As we scale across South Africa and accelerate our US expansion, we're looking for an International Financial Controller to take ownership of our international entities and grow with us. This is a finance role with real scope, real responsibility, and a front‑row seat to one of South Africa's most exciting consumer brand journeys. If you're a qualified CA with FMCG manufacturing experience and a passion for building — not just reporting — we'd love to hear from you. Pura Beverage Company | Cape Town, South Africa | Full-Time About the Role Pura Beverage Company is a fast‑growing, better‑for‑you soda brand with an active retail presence in South Africa and an expanding footprint in the United States. We are Series B‑funded and entering a critical phase of international growth. This role has full ownership of financial control, reporting, tax governance, and strategic oversight across our international entities — Evolved Brands Inc (USA) and Evolved Brands Ltd (UK). You will be based in Westlake, Cape Town, reporting directly to the CFO. Some flexibility in working hours is required to align with the US East Coast (ET). What You’ll Do Own monthly reporting across all international entities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness. Develop management dashboards and KPI reporting for executive and board visibility. Manage multi‑currency exposures, intercompany reconciliations, and multi‑entity consolidation in USD (Group functional currency). Oversee transfer pricing policies and ensure compliance across jurisdictions. Evolved Brands Inc — United States Our accounting is outsourced to a third‑party accounting team based in the US. Your role is to manage and control that outsourced back‑office function, understand every entry, and ensure reporting is accurate and timely. Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary and variance analysis, providing senior management with clear, actionable insight into financial performance. Partner with operations and back‑office teams to ensure manufactured inventory is correctly valued, with a strong working knowledge of bill of materials, standard costing, and production run accounting applied to the US manufacturing process. Manage international related‑party billing and reconciliation. Verify supplier invoices (warehousing, operations) and review weekly disbursement reports. Analyse and review customer claims and credits against approved deals. Reconcile monthly inventory movements with warehousing partners against entries processed by the outsourced team. Manage trade finance and credit insurance obligations, including stock and debtor reporting, interest calculations, and monthly debtors meeting pack preparation. Understand customer and distributor billing terms, including reconciliation of bill backs. Assist in preparing the annual budget for the US entity. Evolved Brands Ltd — United Kingdom Full in‑house accountability for the UK holding company — a principally holding entity with limited transaction volume. End‑to‑end accounting: supplier loading, invoice processing, statement reconciliations, journal processing, and bank reconciliations. International related‑party billing and account reconciliation. Monthly management accounts and debtor statement distribution. Quarterly VAT calculation and submission. Assist with the annual audit process, including preparation of the audit file. Prepare annual budget for the UK entity. Consolidate Evolved Brands Ltd and Evolved Brands Inc into the Group’s USD functional currency. Minimum Requirements Minimum 3–5 years’ post‑articles experience ideally in FMCG manufacturing. Proven experience in a multi‑entity, multi‑currency international finance environment. Strong technical accounting background with solid IFRS knowledge. Demonstrated experience managing intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and treasury. Ability to work with flexibility in hours to maintain alignment with the US East Coast time zone (ET). What We’re Looking For High attention to detail and absolute integrity. Resilient and adaptable — comfortable in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. Proactive mindset: anticipate issues and solve them before they escalate. Clear communicator who can explain financial concepts to non‑financial stakeholders. Owner’s mindset — accountable, decisive, and results‑driven. Genuine interest in high‑growth consumer brands and the start‑up journey. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills. Confident managing multiple third parties and internal stakeholders toward shared goals. The Pura Way Alignment — to the business’s goals. Ownership — an owner’s perspective, not a renter’s. Right Mindset — a “can do” attitude at all times. Trust — setting the standard and fully embracing the art of possibility. Agility — turning challenges into opportunities quickly. Given the nature of our growth phase, you will occasionally be called on to support activities outside this job description. That’s not the exception here — it’s part of what makes it an exciting role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
