Overview Malander is seeking an immediately available Operations Manager to lead and optimise end-to-end fulfillment and final mile delivery operations within a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This opportunity is suited to a hands-on operational leader with strong logistics and warehouse management experience, who is passionate about operational excellence, process optimisation, and team development. The successful candidate will take ownership of daily operational execution, continuous improvement initiatives, and strategic alignment, ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Fulfillment and Final Mile Operations Lead and manage all activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and final mile logistics Implement operational best practices to ensure accurate, efficient, and cost-effective order fulfillment Oversee inventory management processes, including stock accuracy, cycle counts, and variance resolution Maintain strong quality control standards to ensure product integrity and high order accuracy Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure optimal consumables and packaging stock levels Drive workforce, equipment, and space capacity planning to support peak trading periods and long-term growth Stakeholder and Customer Management Partner with customer service, business development, and technology teams to align operational delivery with customer expectations Resolve escalated customer issues and implement preventative measures to improve service outcomes Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics partners, and service providers Process Improvement and Operational Efficiency Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs Define, track, and manage KPIs related to fulfillment speed, order accuracy, service levels, and cost per order Drive operational efficiencies and effectively manage change initiatives within the business Budgeting and Financial Management Develop and manage operational budgets across fulfillment and final mile functions Monitor operational expenditure, investigate variances, and implement cost-saving initiatives Provide regular reporting and operational insights aligned to financial and performance targets Team Leadership and Development Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations teams Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence Implement coaching, performance management, and skills development initiatives Health, Safety and Compliance Ensure full compliance with Occupational Health and Safety standards and internal policies Conduct regular safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented Maintain compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and fire safety regulations Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field 7–10 years’ experience in operations management within e-commerce, logistics, courier, or warehouse environments Proven success operating within a high-volume, fast-paced environment Strong technical proficiency across WMS, ERP systems, SaaS courier aggregator platforms, and data analysis tools Strong understanding of fulfillment operations, logistics optimisation, and service delivery best practices Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to convert data insights into operational imprrovements Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Adaptable and able to perform effectively in dynamic, high-pressure environments Immediate availability is non-negotiable #J-18808-Ljbffr
