The successful candidate will report to the General Engineering Supervisor. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Responsibilities Effective job planning in terms of cost containment, legal regulations, procedures, quality standards and required resources (trained crew, time, equipment, material and tools); draw up a schedule to guide the execution thereof Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specification Maintenance schedules to be in place and ‘living’ Administration management Quality management risks mitigated Safety and legal compliance Maintenance reports completed in detail and accurately Ordering of equipment / machinery parts in a well planned way Supervision and technical skills development of Artisans Working to standards and procedures for systematic, disciplined operations Planning for budgets and projects Performance measurement and coaching of subordinates Acquisition of resources and selection of subordinates Management of all Mechanical maintenance and installations to schedule Control of overtime and stores expenditure Effective self and team supervision in alignment with Cementation Africa values and leadership initiatives Perform risk assessments prior to commencing work, in terms of conditions, material, equipment, safety standards, legal requirements and competence Minimum Qualifications Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent Section 26 Recognised/Equivalent Trade Certificate (Fitter/Boilermaker/Rigging/Millwright) Engineering Foreman Certificate of Competence or proof of formal Supervisory training in Planning, Leading, Organising and Control MS Office Proficient (Word & Excel) Valid EB Driver’s License Valid First Aid Certificate Required Experience At least 5 years trade experience as artisan. At least 5 years practical experience as an Artisan in a mining environment, appointed in a legal position At least 2 years’ experience acting on a supervisory level as an Engineering Foreman At least 5 years practical experience on winders (preferred Aleast 2 years supervising / leading planned maintenance person At Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), maintenance scheduling and spares management. Setting up performance management for the team. Capable to manage discipline and conflict within the team.
