Develop, document, and implement data quality processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in Global Markets. Establish data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms, including technical dashboards for ongoing assessment and improvements. Design and implement data workflows that integrate quality controls into core business processes. Implement data governance frameworks, including data attestation and lineage, to safeguard data integrity and usability. Support Global Markets data initiatives in alignment with enterprise data governance and broader company data strategies. Monitor compliance with relevant data legislations and regulations in South Africa, other African countries, and global jurisdictions where Global Markets operates. Conduct research to ensure up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulatory requirements and standards. Collaborate with data producers, traders, risk management, IT, and other departments to ensure data quality and governance objectives are met. Build dashboards with anomaly alerts and resolution workflows involving data source owners. Lead and contribute to data remediation projects and initiatives across Global Markets. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or Information Management . Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience within Investment Banking / Capital Markets in IT and data-focused roles. 5-10 years of business and data analysis experience within a Global Markets environment. Skills and Competencies: Strong experience working with Cloud technologies , especially AWS . Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Proficient in data governance principles , including lineage and attestation. Experience with data quality metrics, dashboards , and alerting tools. Solid understanding of regulatory compliance related to financial data. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
