This role is ideal for a technically strong individual with a passion for software development, data management, and business intelligence solutions. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain front‑end and back‑end applications based on business and operational requirements Develop and optimise SQL Server objects, including stored procedures, functions, and views Proficient with front and back-end development, based on requirements from customers and industry best practice. Cross‑platform application & websites development Beneficial experience with Microsoft Power BI Beneficial experience with Aveva System Platform (Wonderware SCADA) would be beneficial Beneficial experience with VBScript & MAUI would be beneficial Critical Competencies for an MIS Technician Basic Fundamentals of Software Engineering Basic understanding of Plant Automation, PLC and SCADA systems Qualifications & Experience Matric (Grade 12) National Diploma in Information Technology (Software Development/Engineering or related field) 3-5 years' experience in software development or a related technical environment Strong proficiency in: VB.Net, ASP.Net, VBScript, HTML, MVC, and JavaScript Microsoft SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, SSRS) Solid understanding of both front‑end and back‑end development principles A+ Certification or equivalent foundational knowledge Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities The Reference Number for this position is NG61152 which is a Permanent position based in Johannesburg offering a cost to company of up to R960k CTC negotiable on experience and ability.
