Job Description AECOM is seeking an experienced License Management Specialist responsible for centralised oversight, optimisation and governance of Cornerstone approved engineering software licenses across the global enterprise. Key Responsibilities Software License Governance & Compliance Maintain a centralised and accurate inventory of all Cornerstone engineering software licences and related documents Monitor, audit and validate software & licence usage to ensure contractual and legal compliance against vendor terms and agreements Interpret licence entitlements, terms, and vendor contractual obligations Mitigate compliance risks through proactive monitoring, process improvements, and internal awareness, including conducting regular internal audits Contribute to the development of governance documents relating to licensing and set controls for compliance for software usage and disposal; train employees on licence compliance to prevent unauthorised installations and use along with version control Optimization & Cost Management Analyse usage data to identify under‑utilised or redundant licences and control overspending Recommend optimisation actions such as consolidations, reassignments or rationalisation Support budgeting and forecasting of licence requirements for Cornerstone applications Provide insights to reduce operational costs while maintaining business continuity Vendor & Contract Management Support Support centralised vendor relationship management for engineering software providers Contribute to vendor review cycles, renewal negotiations and contract updates Maintain documentation related to licensing agreements and procurement history Work with vendors on licence requirements for requests relating to Cornerstone applications and address non‑Cornerstone software requests along with budget and planning Operationalising Global Engineering Application Services Work with Enterprise Capability teams to support global deployment and delivery of cornerstone engineering applications Ensure licence allocations are aligned to global service delivery needs and project requirementsContribute to the maintenance and improvement of licence management processes and toolsets Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with IT Procurement to support purchasing decisions, renewal activities and vendor negotiations Partner with Budget & Planning Analyst and teams to validate budget requirements, forecast usage and support financial modelling Collaborate with Software Rationalisation Specialist to evaluate S/W application usage, eliminate redundancies and contribute to technology rationalisation strategies Collaborate with Governance specialist to advise, recommend and provide business intelligence to support the governance of Cornerstone applications Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Knowledge of software licensing models (subscription, perpetual, concurrent, named user entitlements) Experience with engineering applications (e.g., CAD, simulation, design software) Proficiency with licence management tools and reporting systems Strong analytical and data interpretation skills Behavioural Competencies Strong attention to detail and risk awareness Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to influence decisions through evidence‑based insights Problem‑solving mindset and continuous improvement approach Qualifications Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering, business, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in software asset management and/or licence management or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Requirements Experience in software asset management, licence management, or IT procurement (preferred) Experience in a global or engineering‑focused environment is an advantage Additional Information All newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.
