Senior Evaluator – Fragrance Development Team Join our Fragrance Development Team as a Senior Evaluator, where you will take a leading role in developing, creating, and validating fragrances for both regional and global projects. You bring insight and expertise to interpret customer needs, market trends, and creative directions—driving business success and delivering exceptional sensory experiences in line with Givaudan's Evaluation objectives. Responsibilities Fragrance Evaluation & Creation Lead fragrance selection and development for customer briefs within your category, country, or region. Translate customer and consumer insights into winning olfactory solutions. Manage and curate our fragrance collection to ensure alignment with business and market needs. Write engaging fragrance descriptions inspired by marketing trends. Partner directly with Perfumers to craft new fragrance themes and concepts. Oversee regional projects and contribute to global fragrance evaluation initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build strong partnerships with Sales, Consumer Market Insight (CMI), and Marketing colleagues to ensure creative and strategic success. Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate trend intelligence into internal and customer presentations. Activation & Gallery Management Maintain a best-in-class fragrance collection, responding proactively to market trends and identifying gaps. Select fragrances quickly and effectively for activation projects—whether from oil or blind submissions. Your Profile Academic Background University degree or equivalent qualification. Professional Experience 5–6 years of technical or functional experience in fragrance evaluation or a related field. Proven proficiency in common business applications. Strong olfactory expertise and confident fragrance language skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal. Proactive, collaborative approach, with skill at managing multiple projects in parallel. Technical Skills Evaluation & Application Deep knowledge of Givaudan Evaluation, Application, and Research methodologies, protocols, and documentation. Ability to translate consumer olfactory understanding into creative evaluation outcomes. Industry & Market Knowledge Broad awareness of the fragrance industry landscape—customers, categories, competitors, and regulatory standards. Understanding of market and global fragrance trends. Customer Relationships & Consumer Insights Ability to connect closely with customers and interpret their brand and product needs. Familiarity with CMI testing protocols and procedures. Systems & Project Management Skilled in Givaudan systems such as FragranceLand, IBIS, Colibri, and others to manage briefs effectively. Strong project management capabilities, leading functional processes with precision and care. Comfortable with digital tools and fast-paced project environments. Balances speed of execution with creativity and fragrance excellence.
