Senior Credit Analyst | Mining, Project Finance & Oil & Gas Johannesburg An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Credit Analyst to join a high-performing Credit Risk team focused on Resources and Project Finance . This role is suited to a commercially minded professional with strong analytical capability and deep sector exposure, who is looking to take ownership of a complex portfolio and play a key role in strategic credit decision-making. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of clients within the Resources & Project Finance space Conduct in-depth credit risk assessments, delivering commercially sound recommendations Prepare and present credit applications to relevant risk and credit committees Take ownership of the full credit lifecycle, including: Origination and approval of facilities Implementation and system capture Ongoing monitoring and portfolio management Monitor client performance, identifying early warning signs and emerging risks Ensure compliance with covenants, conditions, and credit policies Produce and present portfolio risk reports and management information to senior stakeholders Maintain accurate and up-to-date credit records, including due diligence and facility tracking Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient and timely risk delivery Governance & Risk Ensure adherence to internal credit policies and regulatory requirements Maintain strong oversight of risk exposures and portfolio quality Contribute to the development and enhancement of credit risk systems and processes Stakeholder Engagement Build and manage relationships with key business partners and stakeholders Represent the Credit function at various committees and forums Communicate risks, insights, and recommendations effectively to senior management Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field Professional qualification such as CA(SA) or CFA (advantageous) Minimum 5 years’ experience in a credit risk environment or relevant sector experience Strong exposure to Mining, Oil & Gas, or Project Finance Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and opportunity High attention to detail and strong risk assessment capability Ability to present complex information clearly and confidently Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills Proactive, solutions-driven, and able to operate independently Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic banking environment This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions within a specialised credit environment, where your insights and decisions directly influence business outcomes. #J-18808-Ljbffr
