We are establishing a centralised Pricing function to strengthen commercial discipline, improve margin performance, and drive more consistent, data-led pricing decisions across the business. The Head of Pricing will lead this function, working closely with Commercial, Sales, Finance, Procurement, Rev Ops/IT, and country teams to design and implement a structured pricing approach across our multi-country MRO and industrial distribution operations. This role will be responsible for defining pricing strategy, embedding governance, and improving visibility of profitability, while ensuring the business remains competitive and responsive to market dynamics. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a clear pricing strategy aligned to commercial and financial objectives Establish structured pricing frameworks across: Product categories and divisions Support the transition towards more value-based and differentiated pricing approaches where appropriate Pricing Governance & Control Define and implement pricing policies, guardrails, and approval frameworks Establish clear discounting structures and escalation pathways Define pricing workflows (e.g., discount approvals, tender processes, pricing exceptions), ensuring: Pricing owns the decision logic and governance Rev Ops/IT enables and automates these workflows within systems Lead the Pricing Governance Council, ensuring effective decision‑making on: Pricing guardrails Strategic deals and exceptions Ensure pricing discipline is consistently applied across regions and teams Margin & Profitability Management Improve visibility of pricing performance and profitability at: Deal level Product/category level Work with Finance, Rev Ops, and Procurement to incorporate cost dynamics into pricing decisions Identify and address margin leakage across the business Develop and embed pricing analytics capability Work with Rev Ops and Data/IT teams to ensure: Availability of accurate pricing and transaction data Development of reporting and dashboards Track and report on key pricing metrics (e.g., margin, price realisation, win rates) Use data to inform pricing decisions and continuous improvement Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with: Sales and Commercial teams to support deal execution within defined guardrails Finance to align pricing with margin and profitability targets Procurement to reflect supplier cost movements and structures Rev Ops to design and operationalise pricing workflows within CRM/ERP Systems IT/Data teams to support pricing tools, automation, and data infrastructure Operate through a virtual team model, leveraging existing functions rather than building a large standalone team Drive a shift towards more structured and data‑driven pricing practices Build understanding and adoption of pricing principles across the organisation Work with Rev Ops and Commercial teams to embed pricing processes into day‑to‑day operations Manage the balance between commercial flexibility and pricing discipline Lead a lean, high‑impact pricing team (1–2 analysts) Prioritise business‑critical initiatives and ensure effective delivery Build pricing capability within the broader business over time Key Deliverables Clear diagnosis of current pricing practices and key areas of margin leakage Implementation of pricing governance, including discount thresholds and approval frameworks Defined and operationalised pricing workflows in partnership with Rev Ops Improved transparency of pricing performance and profitability Standardised pricing structures across key product categories and markets Effective operation of the Pricing Governance Council: Prepares content Sets agenda Brings analysis Ensures follow‑through Experience & Background 8–15 years’ experience in pricing, commercial strategy, revenue management, or related roles Experience in complex, multi‑product, B2B environments (e.g., industrial, distribution, manufacturing) Exposure to multi‑country operations and varied pricing models (transactional, contracts, tenders) Experience working with or alongside Rev Ops, Sales Operations, or similar functions is advantageous Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross‑functional initiatives Key Capabilities Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics Solid analytical capability and comfort working with data and pricing models Ability to design and implement structured frameworks and governance Strong understanding of how pricing processes are enabled through systems Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills Success Profile Bring structure and consistency to pricing without slowing the business Improve margin performance through better pricing discipline Establish pricing as a strategic capability across the organisation Effectively leverage Rev Ops and other enabling functions to scale pricing impact Work across functions to deliver results with a lean team Additional Information This role operates at the intersection of Commercial, Finance, Rev Ops, and Operations and will play a key role in shaping how the business manages pricing going forward.
