This internship provides hands‑on exposure to corporate finance, accounting, and reporting functions within a large‑scale, dynamic organization. Interns will gain invaluable practical experience, develop professional competencies, and contribute to the financial efficiency and transparency of Eskoms operations. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and management reports. Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Conduct financial reconciliations and assist with account investigations. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis exercises. Aid in the preparation of statutory reports in line with accounting standards. Collaborate with different finance teams to support operational projects and initiatives. Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial reporting and efficiency. Assist with ad‑hoc financial analysis and audits as required. Required Skills and Qualifications BCom Accounting degree (completed) or equivalent from a recognized institution. Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS and GAAP knowledge is an advantage). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Basic knowledge of financial systems and accounting software. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Experience No prior professional experience required; internships or volunteer experience in accounting or finance is advantageous.
