Our client, a luxury safari lodge in Zambia, is seeking a talented and versatile Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is ideal for a chef with strong pastry skills and experience in diverse cooking methods, including tandoor cuisine. The Sous Chef will assist in managing the daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all meals. You will be responsible for food preparation, supervising junior staff, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation. A key focus of this role is pastry and dessert production, alongside the ability to confidently operate a tandoori oven, contributing to a diverse and elevated menu offering. You will also assist with stock control, ordering, and kitchen organization, ensuring smooth service delivery in a remote lodge environment.
