Port Elizabeth, South Africa | Posted on 05/05/2026 Our client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a 3 month contract, based in Port Elizabeth Responsibilities Manage employee records and ensure accurate HR documentation. Administer contracts of employment, addendums, and termination documentation. Maintain HR systems, personnel files, and reporting. Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes. Liaise with line managers to understand staffing requirements. Conduct interviews and reference checks. Manage onboarding, induction, and probation processes. Advise managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and labour matters. Handle disciplinary procedures, grievances, and poor performance management. Prepare documentation and represent the company in CCMA or internal hearings if required. Promote positive employee relations and workplace culture. Support Employment Equity committee activities and reporting. Assist with audits and ensure HR compliance standards are met. Support performance management processes and reviews. Assist with learning and development initiatives, training coordination, and skills development reporting. Identify development needs and support succession planning initiatives. Requirements Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field. 3–5 years’ experience in a generalist HR role. Proven experience with South African labour legislation.
