Overview An insurance company that has a particular interest in emerging markets in Africa is looking for a Head of Finance based in Centurion, Gauteng. The key purpose of this role is the day-to-day management of the Finance department to ensure efficient running of the unit and accurate reporting of accounts. Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and implement proper operational controls for financial efficiency. Ensure complete operational compliance with manuals and policies. Ensure that financial reports are timeously prepared for stakeholders. Ensure that cash‑flow projections are done on a weekly basis. Coordinate with the CFO on the best practice to manage ECIC financial resources. Ensure compliance with all Tax legislation. Requirements Professionally Qualified – CA(SA) At least 5‑year post article experience in a finance unit in a supervisory or management level. Preference will be given to individuals from the financial and / or insurance industry. Excellent knowledge of information technology advanced EXCEL, AX, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar accounting system. Key Competencies Knowledge : IFRS, Tax, Auditing, PFMA Strong commercial awareness; Strong business acumen Strong financial statement analysis skills Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
