Job Overview: To source and purchase terrestrial cable to be dismantled and recycled. Key Responsibilities: Accurate valuation of stock. Determine the value of the stock by trying to best identify the variousmaterials which make up the cable. Purchasing of cable through auction and tenders. Stay informed regarding upcoming auctions selling terrestrial cable. Obtain a maximum mandate bid from the Directors. Bid on the cable at auction, without exceeding the maximummandated bid. Stay informed regarding tenders available for terrestrial cable. Obtain a mandate from the Operations Director to purchase the cable. Maintain positive relationships with service providers. Minimum Requirements: Matric At least five years of experience within a related field (e.g. nonferrousbuying, scrap or metal recycling) Valid driver’s license Computer literate Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Excellent planning and organizing skills. Candidates must be willing to travel regularly, as it will be a requirement of the job.
