Role Description This is an on‑site contract role for an Automation Technician based in Port Elizabeth. The Automation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing automated systems and machinery. Tasks include troubleshooting automation equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance schedules are adhered to, and assisting in robotics operations and programming. Collaboration with engineers and other team members to optimize system functionality will also be a key part of the role. Additionally, the technician will ensure adherence to safety protocols during all operations. Qualifications Experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in automated systems Basic knowledge of PLC programming Proficiency in electricity and electrical systems, including wiring and control circuits Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices to ensure system longevity Strong foundation in Automation technologies and processes Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail Ability to work on‑site in Port Elizabeth and adapt to a dynamic environment Formal trade certification, diploma, or degree in Automation, Engineering, or a related field is preferred Experience in industrial or manufacturing settings is an advantage #J-18808-Ljbffr
