An industry leader in the packaging/manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Production Manager based in the Roodekop area. This person will be responsible for leading and optimising production operations within a high-volume injection moulding plant. The role focuses on achieving production targets, ensuring product quality, improving efficiencies, and maintaining a safe, disciplined, and high-performance manufacturing environment. Tasks & Responsibilities Manage day-to-day production activities within the injection moulding department Ensure production plans are executed to meet output, quality, cost, and delivery targets Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and operational teams Drive continuous improvement initiatives (OEE, scrap reduction, downtime reduction) Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards Collaborate with maintenance, tooling, quality, and planning teams to ensure optimal machine uptime Monitor and control labour, material usage, and production costs Participate in capital projects, new product introductions, and process optimisation Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and performance standards Qualifications, Experience & Competencies BSc or BEng Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Mechatronics Degree Minimum 2-3 years’ experience managing a manufacturing site Proven experience managing large production teams in a high-volume, shift-based operation Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, tooling, materials, and cycle optimisation Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills Only BSc and BEng qualified candidates will be shortlisted and contacted. #J-18808-Ljbffr
