REQUIREMENTS National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive and engineering, with premium wrapping/ sewing machines, including extensive knowledge of material qualities, is advantageous FMEA and RFMEA development and maintenance BOM management and auditing Problem-solving methodology (8D Tool, Six Sigma, etc.) Good MS Word and MS Excel skills Technically skilled in product and process design, such as FMEA, Takt time and ergonomics Strong communication skills, both verbal and written International mindset, with the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment English required; other languages are a plus Commitment to the highest ethical standards and willingness to adhere to the company's code of ethics and code of management Team player RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing the product interface with product development, contributing to the engineering change management process, while supporting continuous improvement and production, and participating in the manufacturing engineering network Design, implement, and monitor the production processes, ensuring feasibility, productivity and quality of the products Follow the start-up of all premium wrapping/ sewing machines on site to get the standards and best practices Prepare the initial samples with the plant and project teams for the final customer according to the quality standards and time schedule Put on the control and ensure the stability of production Examine the feasibility of all new premium wrapping processes and new products, and validate all improvements before starting production mode Train and coach the operators in the plant on processes Contribute, in liaison with the maintenance supervisor, to improve the maintenance procedures Propose and implement continuous productivity (SMED, CIG) and quality (scrap) improvement actions concerning injection processes Manage the technical processes, parameters, and tooling for the relevant processes Set and control process parameters Lead the QRCI process to investigate quality concerns caused by process and/ or equipment Integrate ergonomic principles in equipment and plant layout Support maintenance in root cause analysis for equipment failures Review of process flow diagrams Lead the FMEA process Manage the product interface with product development Contribute to the engineering change process Support continuous improvement activities Define and update cycle times in line with planned Takt times Define product specifications, and support the tooling and equipment buy-off process with all the relevant stakeholders Ensure continuous improvement by capitalising on lessons learnt, and provide best practices using the available tools Closely liaise with the division and the BG technology specialist to ensure standards are applied and maintained Continuously research changes in technological advancement to keep up with changes Strictly adhere to BG and division reporting standards and deadlines Support with the services of the equipment Be available after-hours to support any process and maintenance issues #J-18808-Ljbffr
