The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef, supporting all kitchen operations while maintaining consistency, quality, and creativity across all food offerings for both guests and staff. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in the overall management of the kitchen Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of high‑quality dishes Supervise and support kitchen staff during service Maintain strong standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety Assist with menu planning and seasonal dish development Ensure effective stock control, ordering, and rotation of ingredients Monitor portion control and minimise waste Ensure all dietary requirements and guest preferences are met accurately Support training and development of junior kitchen staff Maintain smooth kitchen operations during service periods Assist in ensuring all food leaving the kitchen meets lodge standards Requirements Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury lodge or 5‑star hospitality environment Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation Ability to work under pressure in a remote environment Excellent teamwork and communication skills Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety standards Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences Ability to step up and lead in the absence of the Executive Chef Personal Attributes Hardworking and dedicated Calm and efficient under pressure Strong team player with a positive attitude Organised and detail‑oriented Passionate about food and guest satisfaction This is an excellent opportunity for a Sous Chef looking to further develop their career within a luxury safari environment while working in a supportive and high‑performance kitchen. #J-18808-Ljbffr
