What You'll Be Responsible For Leading, developing and mentoring staff Allocating clients, managing workflow and ensuring deadlines are met Monitoring and updating internal control lists Providing hands‑on technical guidance and training Conducting performance reviews with staff Attending to various staff and client queries, which may include researching technical topics and presenting practical solutions Managing SARS queries, including visits to SARS when required Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including attending client meetings On‑boarding new clients and completing related admin Reviewing: Monthly VAT submissions Annual Financial statements (trusts, CCs, companies and independent reviews) Individual and corporate tax returns Working overtime during peak periods What We're Looking For Newly qualified CA(SA), or eligible to register as a CA(SA) Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel and Word Strong digital proficiency and ability to quickly adapt to new software tools In‑depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic and constantly changing environment Strong planning and organisational skills Focus on accuracy and attention to detail Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines Analytical thinking and strong problem‑solving skills A people‑first approach to leadership, motivation and team cohesion Confidence in managing conflict and ability to handle difficult conversations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professionalism Willingness to build relationships with colleagues and clients Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with changing legislation and standards Why Join Harvard House Work within a structured and supportive environment Be part of a respected brand Opportunity for growth Collaborative and values‑driven workplace #J-18808-Ljbffr
