Minimum Requirements Must reside in or near Paarl Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (essential) Proven experience working with food processing equipment Experience with butcher/meat processing machinery (advantageous) Strong background in preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs Ability to work independently with high levels of discipline Strong time management skills and ability to perform under pressure Willingness to work after hours and weekends when required Technical Skills & Experience Hands‑on experience in: Mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics Plant and building maintenance Refrigeration systems (Freon required; Ammonia advantageous) Welding Electrical work and fault finding Plumbing Key Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery and equipment Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance checks Assist with refrigeration maintenance and fault finding Support the operation and upkeep of boilers, steam lines, and refrigeration plants What We Offer Market‑related salary Stable, full‑time position based in Paarl Practical, hand‑on working environment Opportunities for growth and development #J-18808-Ljbffr
