They will support strategic expansion through targeted site identification, lease negotiations, and stakeholder relationship management. This role is integral to securing prime restaurant locations and enabling sustainable growth across South Africa. There is potential for exposure to broader African markets. The Business Development Consultant will be responsible for identifying high‑potential development opportunities in regional malls, high‑footfall street locations, and emerging urban precincts. The role requires close collaboration with landlords, developers, internal operational teams, and franchise partners to ensure each site aligns with financial, operational, and brand objectives. This position demands strong commercial and financial acumen, particularly within the restaurant and franchise environment. The successful candidate will lead lease negotiations, manage renewals and takeovers, conduct feasibility studies, and support franchise partners with data‑driven site selection strategies. Regular reporting and analysis will form a key part of the role, contributing to informed decision‑making at senior management and board level. Extensive travel within South Africa is required for site inspections, meetings, and relationship management, with potential travel into other African regions as expansion opportunities arise. This role is best suited to a proactive, resilient professional with a strong network in the property and hospitality sectors and the ability to operate independently while managing multiple projects.
