JOB SPECIFICATION DATE: Mercer Code: SMP.07.001.P30 POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales & Grower Support Representative is a front-line position responsible for delivering Fall Creek’s mission: to bring exceptional plants and solutions to optimize customer success. Representatives provide technical product support and execute sales for commercial customers within an assigned region. ORGANIZATIONAL FIT: The Sales and Grower Support Representative reports to a Commercial Manager and collaborates with Fall Creek’s regional and global teams. This position works closely with customers, visitors, and guests of Fall Creek and is a member of the Global Commercial Team. The role requires a high level of customer-focused, technical service, acting as a humble servant. JOB SETTING: Office, farms, and nursery. Frequent single-day and overnight travel within the assigned territory. Some international travel may be required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist customers with all aspects of the sales process, including plant ordering, availability, terms, and conditions, fostering successful relationships. Provide product support and technical assistance, including on-site evaluation, pre-plant preparation, variety selection, and post-plant care. Identify and develop new accounts within the territory. Support licensees with technical support and facilitate plant orders. Provide industry and competitive feedback to management. Use Fall Creek’s CRM accurately and timely to record observations, activities, and customer interactions. Support the Global Commercial Team with horticultural and commercial insights. Assist with key account responsibilities alongside the Commercial and Licensing Managers. Ensure sales orders are accurate, understood, and deposits are received on time. Ensure order accuracy and communicate fulfillment timelines and logistics to customers. Build opportunities in the CRM to aid sales forecasting, including upcoming projects and demand insights. Report on variety and performance observations to R&D and Commercial departments; assist with plantings and cultural care as needed. Represent the company at regional meetings, tradeshows, and industry events; plan and execute educational seminars. Manage customer visits to nurseries and farms, including international locations when necessary. Act as a humble servant, providing high-level customer service. Uphold Fall Creek’s core values and confidentiality standards. Adhere to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act standards. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Crop Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related technical, sales, or customer service experience in agriculture, results-driven and customer-focused. Strong knowledge of soil & water chemistry, plant nutrition, irrigation, fertigation, and crop management. Proven ability to build successful professional relationships. High degree of independent judgment in problem-solving and decision-making. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proficient with MS Office. Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work independently. Valid driver’s license for the territory and ability to travel. Commitment to professional and ethical standards. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in blueberries or similar horticultural crops. Experience with ERP and CRM systems, preferably SAP and Salesforce.
