Description Job Title: Content and Social Media Executive Reports To: Group Head of Marketing (dotted line to Senior Marketing Manager) Location: Hybrid (Cape Town) Direct Reports: N/A About j. awan & partners The j. awan & partners group operates across three complementary entities: j. awan & partners, a GCC-founded with global reach regulatory and compliance advisory firm; azakaw, a purpose-built RegTech compliance platform automating KYC, KYB, AML screening, transaction monitoring, and corporate compliance; and j. awan capital, a KSA-focused regulatory and compliance advisory firm combining compliance advisory with fund hosting and administration. Together, the group serves financial services institutions, FinTech’s, fund managers, and professional services firms navigating complex regulatory environments across the GCC, Africa, and international markets. Marketing operates as a unified group function delivering coordinated demand generation, brand positioning, and pipeline support across all three entities. Mission A content production role for a writer who understands regulated B2B markets and produces content that moves sophisticated buyers across every stage of the funnel. The Senior Marketing Manager sets the editorial direction; you bring it to life. You write, research, optimise, and distribute content across azakaw, j. awan & partners, and j. awan capital, from SEO articles and gated guides to social copy, newsletters, and campaign assets. You are not a generalist content producer. You understand how compliance, RegTech, and financial services audiences read, search, and decide across the GCC, Africa, and international markets. You can explain the difference between CDD and EDD, know what a STR is, and understand why PEP screening matters. You write with search intent in mind. You know how to turn a regulatory update into a LinkedIn post, a white paper chapter, and a nurture email without losing accuracy, authority, or the reader's attention. You identify opportunities to repurpose existing content across channels and funnel stages rather than always producing from scratch. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of B2B content experience in SaaS, fintech, regtech, legal tech, or a regulated industry. They bring genuine AML, KYC, and KYB domain knowledge: enough to write credibly for compliance officers without heavy fact‑checking. They are a strong SEO writer with a clear grasp of search intent, heading structure, meta copy, and internal linking. They are a clear and engaging social copywriter, and a disciplined project manager who can handle multiple briefs simultaneously without missing deadlines. They use AI tools to accelerate drafting and research, apply their own editorial judgement to every output, and track content performance with the same rigour they apply to writing. The best candidate archetype is a former compliance professional who can write, or a fintech content strategist with a verifiable portfolio in regulated markets. 12–18 Month Mission Outcomes ("What Success Looks Like") SEO Content Output: Target keyword briefs from the Growth Marketing Manager and SEO Partner executed on schedule. SEO‑optimised articles and landing page copy published consistently. Organic ranking progress tracked and reported monthly. No content published without keyword integration verified. Gated Content and Guides: Minimum one gated asset per month produced, published, and monitored. Asset performance tracked by downloads, form completions, and MQL conversion. Underperforming assets flagged and iterated. Social Media Content: LinkedIn content calendar implemented for all three entity pages and contributing to executive profile content. Posts published consistently with no gaps exceeding two weeks. Engagement rates tracked monthly. Newsletter Content: Monthly newsletter produced for each active entity on brief and ahead of build deadlines. Open rates, click rates, and unsubscribe rates tracked and reported. Content iterated based on performance data. Content Repurposing: Existing high‑performing content systematically identified and repurposed across formats and channels. Repurposing pipeline maintained in ClickUp. No long‑form asset produced without a repurposing plan attached. Brand Voice Consistency: All content across all three entities tonally consistent and on‑brand. Brand voice guidelines maintained and applied independently. No off‑brand material reaches external audiences. Content Performance Reporting: Monthly content performance report delivered to the Senior Marketing Manager and Group Head covering SEO rankings, gated asset conversions, social engagement, and newsletter metrics. Data sourced directly from analytics tools, not manually estimated. Key Accountabilities SEO Writing and Optimisation: Execute SEO content briefs from the Growth Marketing Manager. Write and optimise articles, landing page copy, and topic cluster content aligned to target keywords and search intent. Ensure keyword strategy is reflected without compromising readability or regulatory accuracy. Monitor ranking progress and flag opportunities for content updates. Success indicator: SEO briefs executed on schedule; target keyword integration verified; organic ranking progress reported monthly. Gated Content and Guides: Produce white papers, regulatory guides, how‑to content, and other gated assets per the editorial calendar set by the Senior Marketing Manager. Own the full execution cycle: research, writing, briefing design to the Graphic Designer, publishing, and post‑publication performance monitoring. Success indicator: minimum one gated asset per entity per quarter; downloads, form completions, and MQL conversion tracked from day of publication. Social Media Content: Write LinkedIn copy for all three entity pages. Contribute to executive ghost‑writing for entity leads under direction from the Senior Marketing Manager. Brief visual requirements to the Graphic Designer. Maintain the social content calendar and ensure consistent publishing cadence. Success indicator: social calendar maintained; no publishing gaps exceeding two weeks; engagement rates tracked monthly. Newsletter Content: Produce newsletter copy for each active entity on brief and ahead of HubSpot build deadlines. Work with the Growth Marketing Manager on audience segmentation and send logic. Track open rates, click rates, and unsubscribes. Recommend content adjustments based on performance data. Success indicator: newsletters delivered on brief and on time; performance metrics tracked and reported monthly. Content Repurposing and Distribution: Identify opportunities to extend existing content across formats and funnel stages. Turn long‑form assets into social posts, email sequences, and short‑form articles. Maintain a repurposing pipeline in ClickUp. Ensure every long‑form asset produced has a repurposing plan. Success indicator: repurposing pipeline active and current; every long‑form asset repurposed across at least two additional formats. Brand Voice and Copy Governance: Uphold a consistent brand voice and narrative across all content for all three entities. Apply brand voice guidelines independently without requiring review of every piece. Flag and correct off‑brand copy before it reaches external audiences. Contribute to brand voice documentation when guidelines evolve. Success indicator: zero off‑brand content published; brand voice guidelines applied consistently and independently. Content Performance Monitoring: Track and report on content effectiveness across SEO, gated assets, social, and newsletters using Google Analytics, HubSpot, and other available tools. Produce a monthly content performance report for the Senior Marketing Manager and Group Head. Use data to recommend improvements and prioritise future content investments. Success indicator: monthly report delivered on time; data sourced directly from analytics tools; recommendations actioned in subsequent content planning cycle. This Role Is Not For You If… You write for general audiences. Every word here is aimed at compliance professionals, financial services decision‑makers, and fund managers navigating regulated environments across the GCC, Africa, and international markets. You need a fully detailed brief to start. This role generates its own research, identifies its own repurposing opportunities, and manages its own production pipeline. You are not comfortable writing about AML, KYC, KYB, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance frameworks. You cannot explain core concepts like STRs, CDD, or PEP screening. You treat AML and fraud as synonyms. Accuracy in this domain is non‑negotiable. You treat SEO as an afterthought. Search intent must inform every article and landing page you produce from day one. You produce content and move on. This role tracks what you publish, reports on how it performs, and iterates based on data. You use AI tools to produce content you would not otherwise review. Every AI‑assisted output requires your editorial judgement before it is published. Instant Disqualifiers Cannot explain core concepts: STR, CDD, PEP, EDD, or the difference between sanctions screening and transaction monitoring. Treats AML and fraud as synonyms. Portfolio contains only generalist marketing copy with no evidence of writing for regulated or technical B2B audiences. Cannot demonstrate practical AI tool usage in their content workflow. Core Competencies B2B SEO Writing: Writes content with search intent built in from the brief stage. Understands keyword integration, internal linking, and on‑page SEO without compromising prose quality or regulatory accuracy. Tracks ranking performance and identifies content update opportunities proactively. Regulatory and Compliance Content Literacy : Writes accurately and credibly about AML, KYC, KYB, CDD, EDD, STRs, PEP screening, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and FATF standards across jurisdictions. Understands how compliance officers read and evaluate content. Does not require SME hand‑holding on foundational concepts. Flags uncertainty rather than publishing under‑researched material. Familiarity with GCC‑specific regulators (DFSA, ADGM, VARA, CBUAE) and equivalent frameworks in African and international markets is a strong advantage. Gated Asset Production: Produces white papers, guides, and regulatory explainers that function as genuine pipeline assets, not just brand collateral. Manages the full production cycle from research and writing through design briefing, publishing, and performance monitoring. Social and Short‑Form Copywriting: Writes LinkedIn copy that earns attention in a feed dominated by compliance and fintech content. Adapts long‑form content to short‑form formats without losing the substance. Maintains distinct tones across three entity pages simultaneously. Content Repurposing Instinct: Identifies repurposing opportunities before being asked. Knows how to extend a white paper into a social series, a newsletter feature, and a nurture email without producing derivative content. Treats every long‑form asset as a content programme, not a one‑off publication. Multi‑Brand Voice Management : Operates across three distinct brand identities simultaneously. Adjusts tone, register, and audience focus without conflating entities or defaulting to a single house style. Content Performance Analysis: Tracks SEO rankings, gated asset conversions, social engagement, and newsletter metrics using Google Analytics, HubSpot, and equivalent tools. Produces clear, actionable reports. Uses data to make content decisions, not just to document outcomes. AI Fluency: Uses AI drafting and research tools to accelerate production. Designs effective prompts, applies editorial judgement to all AI‑assisted outputs, and maintains regulatory accuracy and brand voice standards regardless of how content originates. Project and Editorial Discipline: Manages multiple concurrent briefs without missing deadlines. Maintains a production pipeline in ClickUp. Communicates blockers early. Does not require chasing to deliver. Education & Experience Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Legal, Marketing, or a related field. Experience: 3 to 5 years in a B2B content role with a portfolio demonstrating SEO writing, gated asset production, social copywriting, and newsletter content for professional or regulated industry audiences. Genuine AML, KYC, and KYB domain knowledge is required: enough to write credibly for compliance officers without heavy fact‑checking. Clear, authoritative B2B prose for a technical audience. Basic SEO literacy including search intent, heading structure, meta copy, and internal linking. Evidence of tracking and reporting on content performance is required. A portfolio showcasing relevant examples of work must be submitted at application. Nice to Have: Familiarity with CBUAE, FATF, and GCC regulatory context. MENA or UAE financial services background. Experience writing for regtech, legal tech, or fintech verticals. Understanding of African regulatory environments (Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, or East Africa) is a strong advantage. HubSpot experience for newsletter and nurture content. Google Analytics or equivalent for performance tracking. AI content tool proficiency. Culture & Values Alignment Growth mindset, resilience, accountability, and adaptability in a fast‑paced scaling environment. Professional maturity and integrity in handling sensitive client and regulatory information. Client‑first philosophy: every interaction reflects the accuracy, proactivity, and integrity of the group's advisory heritage. Trust and credibility built through consistent follow‑through, transparency, and candid communication. Rewards & Growth Competitive base salary benchmarked to seniority and market. Content ownership across three commercially active B2B brands in high‑growth regulated markets spanning the GCC, Africa, and international jurisdictions, providing genuine portfolio breadth across formats, industries, and geographies. Direct collaboration with the Senior Marketing Manager and Group Head of Marketing with a clear development path toward senior content or editorial responsibility. Remote‑first, high‑trust environment. Output quality, publishing consistency, and content performance are the measure, not hours. Medical insurance / Aid, paid leave, and additional benefits detailed during the offer stage. #J-18808-Ljbffr
