Our client in the logistics and distribution space is seeking a proactive Accountant who can take ownership of the full finance function. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with operations, unpack costs, and influence profitability in a high-volume, performance-driven environment.Key Responsibilities: Drive financial performance through detailed profitability and cost analysis Ensure full compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, including in-depth variance analysis Compile and deliver accurate management accounts and financial reports Manage and execute month-end and year-end reporting cycles Perform and review balance sheet, bank, and general ledger reconciliations Support strategic decision-making with actionable financial insights Identify trends and opportunities to improve cost efficiencies Experience: BCom Accounting degree SAICA or SAIPA articles advantageous 25 years experience in a similar accounting role Logistics, distribution, or supply chain industry exposure beneficial Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Advanced financial reporting and reconciliation skills Solid understanding of controls and accounting frameworks Proficient in Excel Able to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Apply now and take control of your next career move.
