This role goes beyond traditional finance and requires a commercially astute leader who can partner closely with Operations, Workforce Planning, HR, and Client Services to influence decision-making, improve profitability, and drive operational performance. The successful candidate will combine strong technical finance capability with proven people management and stakeholder engagement experience.The ideal candidate is a confident and influential finance professional with strong leadership capability and approximately 23 years of management experience leading finance teams or direct reports.Key Responsibilities: Financial Management: Help lead and support the finance function for assigned business units Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, journals, and financial controls Prepare and review monthly management accounts with commercial insights Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures Monitor operational expenses, budgets, and cash flow Support improvements in finance processes and reporting Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with leading the annual budgeting and forecasting process Prepare forecasts for revenue, staffing costs, and operational expenses Work closely with Operations and Workforce Planning teams on staffing and capacity planning Provide recommendations based on financial trends and performance Support strategic planning and business decision-making Business Partnering: Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial support and insight Present financial information in a clear and practical manner Support operational decision-making with data-driven recommendations Assist with analysing staffing models, pricing, profitability, and operational performance Monitor and report on operational KPIs and business performance metrics Commercial Finance & Analysis: Analyse client contracts and billing models Evaluate profitability across campaigns and business units Support pricing reviews, renewals, and new business opportunities Assist with financial modelling and profitability analysis Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and financial performance Team & Stakeholder Management: Help lead and mentor junior finance team members Support team performance and development Build strong relationships across Finance, Operations, HR, and Client Services Present financial results and forecasts to management Communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Required Skills & Experience: Technical Skills: Strong background in financial management, FP&A, or management accounting Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Strong analytical and financial modelling skills Advanced Excel skills Experience using ERP or financial systems such as SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar Leadership & Business Partnering: Previous team leadership or management experience advantageous Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Commercially minded with strong operational understanding Ability to simplify financial information for operational teams Industry Experience: Experience within a contact centre, BPO, shared services, or operational environment preferred Understanding of operational metrics, such as productivity, occupancy, attrition, and workforce planning, advantageous Qualifications & Skills: CA(SA) or CIMA preferred 68 years relevant finance experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or management accounting 23 years team leadership or management experience preferred For more exciting Finance vacancies, please visit:
