This is a specialist, senior technical role and will suit someone who is hands‑on, highly experienced, and comfortable working on complex, enterprise‑scale data platforms. Key Responsibilities Design, build and optimise advanced data science solutions using Databricks Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and machine learning models Work with large, complex datasets across cloud‑based platforms Collaborate closely with business, analytics and engineering stakeholders Translate complex business problems into data‑driven solutions Mentor and provide technical guidance to less senior team members where required Ensure best practices around data governance, performance and security Key Requirements Extensive senior‑level experience as a Data Scientist (this is not a mid‑level role) Strong, hands‑on Databricks experience (non‑negotiable) Advanced Python and SQL skills Experience working with big data, cloud platforms and distributed computing Proven experience delivering production‑ready data science solutions Strong problem‑solving and communication skills Additional Information The role is based in Sandton, however the team currently works remotely South African candidates may work remotely if based in another region Salary is negotiable and aligned to seniority and technical depth Looking to appoint in June / July, but early applications are encouraged #J-18808-Ljbffr
