Counter Sales (External Applications Only – Mthatha Vulindlela) Assist customers with product inquiries and purchases. Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently. Maintain a clean and organized sales counter and showroom. Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed. Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications. 1 year sales experience in a hardware retail, wholesale or similar environment. 1 year carpentry experience would be advantageous. Ability to perform basic calculations accurately. Well-developed problem solving and analytical skills. Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Must be able to work under pressure. Key Performance Area Accurate processing of order requests received from customers. Accurate processing of sales made by customers. Accurate receipt of payments received and related banking processes. Advise customers correctly on products. Assist customers with any product queries. Assist with customer complaints in a timely manner. Must be available within the area of responsibility. Assist in other departments as and when required. Product knowledge on all products and services offered. Assist with packing stock away as per allocated bins. Ensure stock is merchandised immediately after being received. Ensure sales counters are kept free of stock and in a presentable manner. OHSA compliance (e.g. use of safety gear, ensuring safety of customers and employees) within area of responsibility. Merchandise stock safely ensuring safety of customers and employees. Report suspicious behaviours or people to management. No product to be loaded for a customer without proof of purchase or required documentation.
