Minimum Requirements Educational Requirements Matric or equivalent Experience Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Service Station environment Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role Computer experience (Microsoft Office and Branch specific Point Of Sale) Key Performance Areas Execute daily tasks and work instructions according to relevant procedures and instruction from the Site Manager and Owners. Finance and Administration Assist with the management of the Cashiers and ensure that they follow the correct procedures. Do cash-ups and ensure float is accurately controlled. Assist with maintaining correct and competitive pricing and ensure that an acceptable Gross Profit percentage is achieved. When requested, ensure all debtors slips and Electronic Funds Transfer's are filed according to Company procedures and print debtors statements when necessary. Assist with the control of costs and with ensuring that stipulated cost of sales are achieved. Operations and Customer Care Assist with ensuring all operational standards are implemented as required by the Manager, Franchisor and Company. Comply with all relevant checklists and evaluations as set out by Franchisor and Company and with achieving the pass rates regarding all internal and external evaluations pertaining to the business. Ensure stock takes take place and shelves are checked on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and ensure all Company procedures are followed and shrinkage controlled. Interface with customers, resolve queries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure goods accurately received, returned, credit notes passed and expired stock dealt with quickly and efficiently. Complete reports as directed from time to time and ensure on time delivery. Assist with ensuring maintenance procedures are carried out and that there is adherence to the required maintenance schedules. Staff Management Ensure staff’s time and attendance is monitored and managed, discussing any issues with the Site Manager Observe and monitor staffs’ performance and communicate performance standards with the Site Manager. Ensure Electronic-learning carried out on all staff and identify training needs and propose relevant training initiatives to address those needs. Assist with interviewing of applicants when vacancies arise, if required by the Site Manager. Ensure staff adhere to the company’s disciplinary code and procedures, and communicate any issues with the Site Manager, as they arise. Health and Safety Assist the Health and Safety Officer, where necessary, to ensure all staff have knowledge of the emergency procedures and where all emergency shut-offs and exits are located. Advise the Site Manager when emergency response training and health and safety training for staff is necessary. Ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment at all times. Report any unsafe or unhealthy situations to management. Assist the Health and Safety Officer, when necessary, to ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are complied with by all team members. General Carry out any other ad hoc duties as and when required by management. Liaise with different personnel, as is required, to prevent delays and on-time delivery. Ensure high quality standards of work are adhered to at all times. NOTE: all the above responsibilities are performed according to the brand’s operational standards.
