Overview: Our client, which has business units in various industries, is seeking a detail-driven accountant to join their finance team. This role reports to the Group Finance Manager and plays a key role in delivering accurate financial information and ensuring robust accounting controls. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric equivalent BCom degree, accounting diploma, or equivalent qualification Minimum of three years’ commercial accounting experience Strong working knowledge of GAAP and statutory reporting requirements Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, trial balances, and bank reconciliations Maintain accurate general ledger entries and daily data captures Develop cash flow forecasts and analyse revenue and expenditure trends Coordinate annual audits and ensure timely submission of statutory returns Produce and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses Monitor payroll processes, prepare wage summaries, and related reports Enforce compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and high standards of financial hygiene Provide ad hoc financial support and liaise with management and other departments Competencies: Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills Logical thinker with effective time-management Self-reliant, responsible, and service-oriented mindset Innovative approach and cultural sensitivity #J-18808-Ljbffr
