Clinic Practitioner – Greenhill – Randburg Dis-Chem Pharmacies Limited – Randburg, Gauteng – Permanent – Closing Date 11 June 2026 Job Description Dis-Chem is seeking a Qualified Clinic Sister to manage and operate a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic located within a pharmacy, within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner. Responsibilities Perform Clinic Sister duties according to industry regulations and best practice. Manage the average feet-per-hour rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient flow. Ensure all clinic services are available and the clinic is open and operational according to the stated hours. Process claims accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain stock and equipment in working condition and ensure sufficient supplies. Keep accurate records of patient details and ensure follow‑up communications. Build and maintain healthy relationships with patients, store and dispensary managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, key community role players, and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Essential Grade 12 – Matric. Tertiary qualification in General Nursing. Degree/Diploma in Midwifery. Registered with South African Nursing Council (SANC). Registered nursing practitioner must obtain BHF registration. 2-3 years experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister. Computer skills – Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook. Advantageous Minimum 5 years experience as a Primary Health Care Sister. Experience with Patient Record System, CKS, and Allegra. Competencies Essential Knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, occupational health, family planning, cytology, IUD, pharmacology, EPI/cold chain, STDs, emergency care, HIV/AIDS pre- and post-counseling, breastfeeding, pathology, wound care. Quarterly CPD and in-service training with Dis-Chem. Strong command of English (written and oral). Understanding of financial implications of meeting or not meeting monthly targets. Strong analytical skills for monthly clinic statistics and commission. Emotional intelligence, entrepreneurial flair, trustworthy and honest. Ability to manage team and self; self-directed and self-motivated. Time management. Advantageous Bilingual. Knowledge and understanding of business objectives. Completion of relevant courses (Baby Immunisation, Family Planning, Primary Health Care, Breastfeeding, Disease Management). Willing and able to work retail hours. Physically fit and healthy to manage a Primary Health Care Clinic. Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport. South African citizen. Clear credit and criminal records.
