Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalent is essential. 1-year experience in a mining environment is essential. Competencies Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic health and safety principles in a workplace. Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to materials handling and safe stacking practices. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the risks involved in the manufacture, use, handling and storage of dangerous and hazardous substances. Move, pack and maintain stock in a warehouse. Duties and Responsibilities Packs materials into the correct bin locations. Loads goods and materials into bins identified and trucks / LDV's. Maintains housekeeping standards in the warehouse / Yard or dedicated area. Does half year and annual stocktaking or ad-hoc as requested. Offloads material from supplier on the trucks per goods on instruction of a supervisor. Lifts materials with a hoist. Supports and participates in change management initiatives to drive transformation and optimization. Builds, supports and maintains healthy diverse internal and external relations and implements remedial actions where required. Provides relevant support to stakeholders to ensure team objectives are achieved. Adheres to safety regulations and mine standards, procedures and practices and reports non-compliance. Participates in regular safety meetings and makes recommendations to ensure overall safety. Performs regular inspections in area of work and reports hazards to ensure environment is safety and hazard free and recommends remedial action where necessary.
