Ability Executive Recruitment | Full time Retail Leasing Broker Johannesburg, South Africa | Posted on 21/04/2026 Currency ZAR Province Gauteng Postal Code 2196 City Johannesburg Country South Africa Job Description Responsible for the full leasing function for all retail and storage premises in the development as allocated to the leasing broker,including, inter alia: Clean and ensure thorough market knowledge oftrading area (market research, competitors, traders, new and existing competingcentres, etc.) Developand manage leasing strategy Compileappropriate tenant mix recommendations and all rental and associatedincome assumptions for budgets Compileand update lease status reports / leasing schedules Attendleasing and project meetings and give feedback and recommendations todevelopers, landlords and property managers Prepareand update leasing brochures for distribution to prospective tenants Source,negotiate and conclude offers to lease with prospective tenants Liaisewith and provide relevant information to prospective tenants, architects,tenant co-ordinators, project managers, landlord representatives Assistand guide the tenant coordination process in these centres Presentlease offers and obtain landlord approval and signature Obtainrequired documentation from prospective tenants and check for correctness(application form, FICA documentation, business proposal, financialinformation, store concept drawings) Conductnecessary credit and asset checks on prospective tenants and sureties Obtaincostings from QS and/or tenant co-ordinator in respect of tenant storespecifications Obtainrental deposit and admin fee invoices from finance department for distributionto prospective tenants Distributerelevant offer and lease documentation (including addenda, cessions andreplacement pages) to tenant for signature and arrange collection ofdocumentation Checksigned offer and lease documentation received from prospective tenants forcorrectness (initials and signature of signatory and witness) Preparesummary info sheets for signature by leasing broker and landlord Preparecertified copies of relevant lease documentation for delivery to financeand investors Attendto leasing enquiries and queries Providesupport to senior broker and Head of Leasing Updateleasing system, if required Otherduties as required by the Employer from time to time Requirements Matric Tertiary qualification preferred 5-8 years retail leasing experience as a Broker/Leasing Specialist #J-18808-Ljbffr
