Reporting to the Project Extension Officer, the Quality Controller will play a crucial role within our organisation by effectively managing and controlling project quality throughout the project lifecycle. This position is responsible for providing quality control on site during the operations of fencing, harvesting and planting, and fencing of Spekboom. Quality control on fencing, which include fence repair as well as the erection of new fences. The Quality Controller must ensure all tasks are adhered to as per the individual task description, specifications, and protocols. Each Quality Controller will be allocated several contractors to oversee. We are seeking candidates with relevant experience in the field of quality control in the environmental, agricultural, or forestry sector with specific experience in managing teams and contractors. Key Job Requirements And Expectations Assist to set out the tasks for contractors with clearly defined boundaries and time limits. Assist with overseeing contractors in-field to ensure all activities adhere to the specific task description, specifications. Ensure allocated contractors perform tasks as per the predetermined protocols. Timeously identify quality challenges in field and address with the contractor. Ensure identified quality challenges are corrected and issue non-conformance notices, as necessary. Report any challenges to the Extension Officer or Project Manager. Ensure all health, safety and environmental requirements are adhered to by contractors and conduct daily checks on teams (vehicle safety, PPE). Assist with risk assessments and quality assurance audits, including Occupational Health and Safety Act. Identifies and reports potential health, safety and security issues and addresses where possible. Transport staff as required. This could include transport to training or collecting equipment. Ensure all ecological protocols are adhered to on site. Assist Project Manager and Project Extension Officer with landowner relations and ensure contract teams comply to any specific requirements from the landowners. Maintain all reporting requirements daily and monthly basis as needed. Assist with data collection and capturing (social, environmental, or other) in the required format. Accurate and timeous completion of all relevant documentation (log sheets, claim forms, asset management). Compile reports as required. Assist with control and management of assets and equipment. Assist with fleet management of NatCarbon vehicles. Undertake data capture meticulously. Perform administrative duties as needed. Attend meetings and training as needed. Ensure all NatCarbon policies and procedures are implemented. Coordinates and supervises all activities including harvesting, planting, watering, and other associated project activities.
