About Us Since 2014, GHM Music Group has been providing quality private music lessons — both in person and online — to students of all ages. Our “we come to you” service allows learners to play and practice on their own instruments in the comfort of their homes. For students outside our immediate area, we also offer online lessons via Zoom or Skype. Our approach is structured, goal-driven, and built around tracking each student’s progress to ensure a high standard of music education. The Role We’re looking for passionate and skilled Piano, Guitar, Drums, Vocals, Violin and Cello Teachers to join our team in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area. Lessons are held at students’ homes, with some flexibility for online sessions. You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, teaching music theory alongside practical skills, and helping students develop both confidence and musical ability. What You’ll Do Teach students of varying ages and skill levels, adapting lessons to suit individual needs. Incorporate music theory into practical lessons to create well-rounded musicians. Provide constructive feedback and track student progress. Engage with students and parents in a professional and encouraging manner. This will be discussed during the interview process, with a probation period for extra responsibilities. Requirements Minimum Grade 8 (ABRSM, Trinity, LCM, or UNISA) in your instrument. Strong knowledge of music theory and music education principles. Prior teaching experience (formal or private). Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
