The lecturer will teach the subject (Electronic Communication) within the Diploma in Electronic Engineering programme at the Tyger Valley Campus, Cape Town. The lecturer is expected to design and deliver lectures, lead discussions, conduct practical sessions, and provide academic support including marking, feedback, and evaluation. Teaching and Instruction Deliver lectures, workshops, and tutorials. Design and update course content, curriculum, and instructional materials. Employ a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles. Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance learning. Assessment and Evaluation Design and administer assessments such as exams, assignments, and presentations. Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Student Support and Mentorship Provide academic advice and guidance to help students set and achieve learning goals. Be accessible for consultation hours and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner. Curriculum Development Contribute to the planning, review, and improvement of academic programmes and courses. Ensure course content aligns with the latest developments in the field and meets accreditation standards. Professional Development and Collaboration Engage in continuous professional development to improve teaching effectiveness. Collaborate with colleagues on research projects related to teaching and learning. Administrative Duties Manage course‑related administrative tasks such as attendance, grading, and reporting. Serve on committees as required. Contribute to the development and implementation of department policies and initiatives.
