ABOUT THE ROLE As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for driving the strategic development and success of a subset of our portfolio of B2B and B2C digital products that are central to our mission and user experience. You’ll be based in Cape Town, working in a hybrid setup that balances in-office collaboration with remote flexibility. These include: Student Portal : Core platform that serves as the hub for our student community, focusing on creating an engaging, user-friendly, and educational experience. Mentor Portals : Platform designed to facilitate mentor interactions, ensuring they are equipped with the tools needed for effective teaching and guidance. Placements Portal : Critical tool for connecting students with career opportunities, requiring a keen understanding of both student needs and industry demands. Website and Payment Gateways : Our main website focuses on user experience, content, and seamless integration of payment systems, vital for facilitating transactions and user engagement. Sign-up Flows : Top-of-funnel activities, including the sign-up process, that are intuitive, user-friendly and secure, directly impacting user acquisition and satisfaction. SaaS Tools : Integrated tools used by the wider organisation for CRM, Student Support, Payments, and Recruitment. Beyond these established platforms, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with HyperDev , our innovation arm, which is focused on building and scaling next-generation digital and AI-powered products. This includes: Experimenting with agentic workflows and AI‑powered SaaS integrations . Exploring new technical solutions to enhance the student and mentor experience. Helping bridge the gap between our core educational platforms and HyperDev’s forward‑looking initiatives. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on both our current product ecosystem and the future direction of our technology through HyperDev. Your expertise will be essential in guiding products from conception to launch, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, scalability, and innovation. Requirements Minimum A minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor product manager, with a proven track record of delivering value and viable solutions. Deep understanding of modern product discovery and delivery techniques. Demonstrated ability to build collaborative and constructive relationships at all levels. A strong technical background, preferably with hands‑on coding experience (Python/Java) as well as deep experience with agile and scrum methodologies. Solid understanding of the technical architecture of platforms, the role of API integrations and the utilisation of SaaS tools within a company. Strong analytical, strategic thinking and coordination skills. The ability to clearly communicate requirements, balance risk and hold stakeholders accountable to delivery deadlines. Preferred University degree preferred. Previous startup and EdTech experience is a plus, especially with a focus on developer education.
