Join us in making a difference! The Position Based at Peter Arney Home in Salter Point, you will work as a Kitchenhand. This permanent part‑time role offers 45 hours per fortnight. Your role involves more than just preparing meals; it’s about bringing warmth and care to our residents through food. Week 1 & 2 Tuesday: 0700 – 1500 Wednesday: 0700 – 1500 Thursday: 0700 – 1500 Key Responsibilities Prepare and plate food, serve, and clear meals in line with food preparation schedules. Maintain food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards. Maintain appropriate resident interactions consistent with organisational values. Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice. Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others. Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place them in the manager’s basket for checking and signing. Record any dietary changes on the master print‑out. Check on stock requirements, e.g., bread, milk, orange juice, yoghurt, and change as necessary. As required, replenish shopping supplies that are specific and not currently available from the usual supplier. Essential Criteria Evidence of COVID‑19 and current flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies. Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6‑month validity). Successful completion of pre‑employment medical and reference checks. NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain). Proven organisational and time‑management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, as required. Willingness to attend one paid day induction at our Rivervale Training Institute.
