Leisure Travel Consultant / Tour Operator Consultant, Gauteng - Permanent EL Hospitality We are seeking a Leisure Travel Consultant / Tour Operator Consultant for a permanent role based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Applicants are required to strictly meet the following criteria and duties would include, but not be limited to : Travel and Tourism Certificate Amadeus or GDS system experience and an understanding of airfare rules Excellent numeracy and literacy skills 3-5 years of LEISURE travel industry experience in a retail or tour operator environment essential with a proven record of reaching sales targets Practical experience with compiling travel packages and creating costings Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Good Geographical knowledge Thorough working knowledge of the Reservation process from input to output (end to end) Experience with reading and interpreting contracts Accurate and detail-oriented and compulsive about taking care of small things Effective communication Skills (effective written and verbal communication) Ideal for people with travel experience – who travelled themselves The client deals worldwide so international product knowledge is very welcome.
