A well-established consulting engineering firm is seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer or Engineer: Water Services to join their dynamic Water and Sanitation division. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with a passion for infrastructure development and sustainable water solutions. Role Overview Reporting to the Lead Engineer, the successful candidate will play a key role in the design, planning, and delivery of water and sanitation projects , contributing to both technical excellence and project success. Minimum Requirements BSc / BEng in Civil Engineering Professionally registered as a Pr Eng (or within 12 months of registration) 8–10 years’ experience in water and sanitation engineering within a consulting environment Strong design experience in municipal infrastructure projects Key Skills & Experience Proven experience in: Water and sewer reticulation systems Pump stations and bulk pipelines Stormwater and flood management systems Proficiency in: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, EPANET, HEC-RAS (or similar) MS Office & MS Project Solid project management and construction monitoring capability Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to the design of water and sanitation infrastructure projects Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence Prepare and review technical reports, drawings, and tender documentation Oversee contract administration and construction monitoring Mentor junior engineers and support team development Engage with clients and support business development initiatives Ensure compliance with quality management systems and industry standards Advantageous Experience Knowledge of GCC, FIDIC, or NEC contracts Exposure to PPP projects or international funding agencies Experience in hydrology, flood line determination, or GIS tools Postgraduate qualifications or professional memberships (SAICE, CESA, WISA) Interested candidates are invited to apply by submitting their CV.
