Job Overview The purpose of a Mechanical Design Engineer is to design, develop, and improve mechanical components, systems, or products by applying engineering principles and technical knowledge. Responsibilities Specify, design, develop, and evaluate precision mechanical and electro‑mechanical products, subsystems, or components. Participate in failure diagnostics processes as required for customer and product support. Detailed analysis of test results and, where necessary, failure analysis to initiate corrective actions. Systematic analysis of the performance of equipment, subsystems, and products. Applying best practice methods and procedures for testing mechanical components or sub‑systems. General understanding of the manufacturing and production processes. Application of measurement uncertainty calculations where appropriate or required. Establish best methods, practices, and processes required to achieve the required reproducibility and repeatability in manufacturing CBI products. Responsible for regular maintenance and technical audit inspections of equipment and facilities used in the department. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field). Thorough knowledge of product development procedures and methodologies (an added advantage). Develop or support software in one or more of the industry‑standard software languages. Knowledgeable in the safe use of mechanical and/or electrical equipment or systems (an advantage). Familiar with the principles and discipline of project management (an advantage). #J-18808-Ljbffr
