A small café based inside a retail environment is looking for a friendly, reliable, and hands-on Barista to take responsibility for the daily running of the café area. The café serves coffee, light meals, and toasted sandwiches, and requires someone who enjoys customer service and can work independentlyRequirements: Previous barista, café, restaurant, or hospitality experience advantageous Ability to prepare coffees and basic café meals/toasted sandwiches Friendly and professional customer service skills Able to work retail hours, including Saturdays Reliable, responsible, and able to take initiative Good communication skills in English and Afrikaans advantageous Basic cash handling and point-of-sale experience beneficial Ability to work independently and manage the café area Well-presented and hygienic at all times Reside in or near George advantageous Responsibilities: Prepare and serve a variety of coffees and hot beverages Make toasted sandwiches and light café meals Ensure excellent customer service at all times Take customer orders and handle payments Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café area Monitor stock levels and report shortages Open and close the café when required Ensure the café is neat, welcoming, and well-managed daily Assist with general café operations and support where needed Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 07:30 17:00 Saturday: 07:30 13:00 Please note only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
