Basic Operator Location: Khanyisa/Anderbolt Factory, Gauteng, South Africa. Job Type: Full time. Job Purpose The Operator (Basic) is responsible for carrying out general line operations and cleaning regimes according to planned operational requirements in order to safely deliver a good quality packed product. Key Responsibilities Start-Up/Shutdown procedures – carry out pre start-up checks, ensure area and equipment are clean and safe as per SOP; assist in shutting down equipment. Cleaning – perform initial inspection and cleaning as per SOPs, alert leaders to potential contamination. Material Availability – provide continuous supply of appropriate packaging material from storage to demarcated areas following 5S standards. Quality – monitor quality against set standards, report product and packaging faults, detect process abnormalities, take emergency action. Administration – conduct hand‑over activities, accurately record shift events (cases packed/rejects, etc.). Safety – fully understand and apply all safe practices and systems, contribute to safe working environment. Workplace Hazards – recognize hazards, use appropriate safety and environmental procedures. Environment – reduce waste costs, minimize impact on health, safety, and environment, handle waste and hazardous materials properly. Continuous Improvement – use performance measures to identify losses, describe problems, monitor process or line issues. Teamwork – work effectively within a highly effective team; responsible, supportive, reliable. Communication – adequately communicate safety issues and provide operational observations and inputs to support decision‑makers.
