Job Description: Lead and manage a team of mechanical design engineers to ensure high-quality project delivery Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to support team performance and development Engage with clients to understand project requirements and align engineering outputs accordingly Plan, allocate, and optimise engineering resources across multiple projects Manage project timelines, ensuring milestones are achieved and deviations are communicated proactively Lead internal and external design reviews to ensure technical accuracy and compliance Ensure all designs meet required specifications, standards, and quality expectations Oversee CAD design activities, including 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation Maintain accurate and structured product data within PDM systems Support custom engineering requests and prioritise deliverables effectively Drive continuous improvement in design processes, quality, and operational efficiency Handle administrative responsibilities including reporting, documentation, and performance management Skills & Experience: 15+ years mechanical design experience Proven team leadership in engineering/design environments Strong project and task management skills Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills High attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset Advanced MS Excel and computer literacy Experience with CAD and PDM systems Exposure to AI/digital engineering tools advantageous Qualification: Minimum BEng / BSc / in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
