This role combines full bookkeeping responsibilities with operational and administrative support and is ideally suited to someone who is practical, organised, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast‑paced business environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial, administrative, and operational activities of the business, ensuring accuracy, compliance, efficiency, and smooth day‑to‑day operations. The ideal candidate should be able to manage both financial processes for a multi‑company environment and operational support functions with professionalism and accountability. Location: Nigel, Gauteng Position: On‑site EE: Open Growth Opportunity Financial & Bookkeeping Duties Capture and process all daily financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, journals, and receipts Manage debtors and creditors, including invoicing, collections, supplier reconciliations, and payment follow‑ups Process supplier invoices and prepare payment schedules Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management Maintain accurate bookkeeping records up to trial balance Assist with VAT calculations, reconciliations, submissions, and supporting documentation Assist with payroll administration, timesheets, leave records, and related administration Prepare monthly cash flow reports and basic financial reports Support accountants during month‑end and year‑end processes Maintain financial filing systems and compliance documentation Liaise with the external accountant/CA regarding financial reporting and statutory compliance Maintain records and reporting for multiple business entities Ensure accurate transaction recording and financial controls are maintained Operations & Administration Oversee and support daily administrative and operational activities Assist with stock tracking, stock control, and operational reporting Process orders, collections, and related operational documentation Coordinate suppliers, procurement, deliveries, and operational administration Manage office administration, filing systems, and operational paperwork Support management with daily business reporting and coordination Act as a communication link between management, suppliers, customers, and staff Assist in implementing and maintaining organized systems, procedures, and controls Process Improvement & Control Identify operational inefficiencies and areas for improvement Improve administrative processes and turnaround times Ensure proper documentation, procedures, and internal controls are maintained Support accurate record keeping and operational accountability across departments Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related Minimum 5 years bookkeeping experience in an operational environment Experience working up to trial balance Strong understanding of VAT, reconciliations, debtors, creditors, and payroll administration Experience with Sage Accounting software Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Excellent organizational, administrative, and time‑management skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities Professional communication and problem‑solving abilities Ability to handle confidential information professionally Valid driver’s license will be advantageous.
