Field Technician: ICT s Managed Services Location: GP Remuneration: Market Related + Company Vehicle + Work Cellphone The Role This is a highly active role requiring a versatile technician who can move seamlessly between high-level networking, server maintenance, and end-user desktop support. Beyond the technical, we are looking for a professional who understands that clear communication and accurate administration are as important as the repair itself. Key Responsibilities On-Site Technical Support: Provide hands‑on hardware and software support for Desktops, Laptops, and Servers . Network Infrastructure: Configure and maintain Ubiquiti and Sophos environments (knowledge of Reyee is a plus). Advanced Networking: Implement and troubleshoot VLANs , routing protocols, and connectivity. Software & Cloud: Resolve issues within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and various server environments. Administrative Diligence: Maintain strict timekeeping and ensure all job cards and tracking systems are updated accurately and in real-time. Availability: Participate in an after‑hours standby rotation and work overtime when necessary to meet client needs. Requirements & Skills Experience: Proven field experience and a "can‑do" attitude toward solving complex technical challenges. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of network architecture, server environments, and desktop systems. Language: Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans will be beneficial. Certifications: While experience is our priority, CompTIA A+, N+, S+ or Microsoft Certifications will be highly valued. Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license for a minimum of 2 years . Professional Attributes: Strong organizational skills with a focus on administrative tasks; punctuality and excellent time management; ability to act as a professional liaison between the client and the head.
