The purpose of the role is to oversee and manage day-to-day IT operations to ensure systems, infrastructure, and support services run reliably, securely and efficiently, while meeting business service levels and supporting business continuity. CRITICAL OUTPUTS Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, vendors and service providers. Ensure maximum uptime and performance of IT systems, infrastructure, databases and communication platforms. Manage IT service delivery and maintain acceptable helpdesk and support standards. Monitor and resolve incidents, technical escalations and user complaints timeously. Maintain disaster recovery plans, backup processes and security of critical company data. Implement and enforce cybersecurity and IT governance practices across all IT operations. Ensure adherence to ITIL processes, standards and change management procedures. Monitor infrastructure capacity and ensure readiness for new developments and business requirements. Manage IT suppliers, software vendors and service level agreements effectively. Monitor system performance and maintain visibility through reporting and dashboards. Support infrastructure, operational and digital projects across the business. Implement automation and continuous improvement initiatives within IT operations. Lead, coach and develop the IT operations team to ensure high performance and service excellence. Ensure effective communication with business stakeholders regarding incidents, outages and system changes. Maintain compliance with company policies, security standards and operational procedures. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Minimum requirement: NQF Level 5 in Information Technology or related field. Minimum 3 years’ experience at management level. Advanced computer proficiency essential. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems administration and IT service delivery. Knowledge of ITIL processes, cybersecurity principles and vendor management essential. Advanced problem solving, analytical thinking and leadership capability required. Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
